Nextel will probably be dropping their IDEN technology and using Spint's CDMA technology in the long run. Whether this is good or bad I don't know.
I'm thinking abouth getting the new Motroola-made i860 cellphone with a camera, but I am loathe to spend another $249 when I have already bought three new phones in the last three years.

Nextel will be switching over to Sprints CDMA tech. Until the change is complete Motorola is going to have to create phones that are IDEN/CDMA capable. I'm curious to see how the first phone will look that is capable of working on both networks, especially if the phone will be able to take advantage of Sprints EV-DO.
