I cant use the search feasture on GFY, and its been this way for almost 2 weeks. wtf is up with this?

Those guys who posted don't have a clue why and they used the "my head is empty, but I still can post" routine.
I think the admin disables search because the CPU is used too much when users surf, and it slows the site.Comment

It is disabled because some hackers abuse it.
Noone would disable the seacrh feature for the reason yuo mentioned.
The seach feature is crucial for this board and if it was disabled permanently, many users would not post here AT ALL.I don't use ICQ anymore.Comment

Well .. some time ago when I did a searh I get a PHP error metioning that the server coulnot allocate resources to do the search.
I don't think is because of the hackers
