Leo was the best damn part of tech tv, now I don't even want to hack DTV.

Kevin Rose is pretty cool, I talked to him on the phone one time. At least he's still there. He used to have his reume' on the net so I jsut called him one time to tell him I liked the show.

If they were going to get rid of anyone it should have been that dwarf looking guy Patrick and it could have been Leo and Kevin Rose who were the two most entertaining people on TechTV. A game station will have no interest for me.

LOL I used to work with Leo back when he was just a radio guy here in the Bay Area. He got me into a couple conventions in San Jose and shit with some of his crew.

Good times, good guy. Sad to see TechTV go, but they didnt carry it here anyway.

Kate and Leo was the coolest geek class every afternoon. Good times. Back then they used to hop in the chat during the commercial breaks and the chat had avitars everyone would make wave when they showed the chat onscreen. Sometimes they would stream chat text under the program. I was lucky to catch ZDTV (the original name for TechTV) from the beginning on C-Band, local cable only added them in the past year. I used to catch Leo back when he was on The Site on MSNBC. I'll definitely be streaming his KFI program.

I'm the one friends and family run to when they have a PC problem and I have a saying when anyone asks me how I learned about computers, "Half of what I know about computers I learned from Leo Laporte, the other half from Google"

No.......!!!!!!!. I used to watch all the time when the Network first started (ZDTV). I especially liked the Screen Savers with Leo since the topics were pretty advanced and not newbie oriented like many other computer shows.

Comcast are dumbasses. A pure gaming show will not work and will appeal only to a VERY narrow audience. I 'm very sad to hear that..........

His main URL is www.leoville.com. Can you remember that? I linked the subdomain b/c it had the best direct info on the webcast. Even if you have trouble remembering "leoville," no worries - just type in "Leo Laporte" on Google and the top 7 links all take you to some part of his site. Even challenged people like yourself should have no troubles finding it.

As for TechTV, Leo has said he may be re-hired after the power transfer. His current employers are responsible for his exit, not Comcast.
