I don't get all these people hating on the starter of this thread. Let the person who hasn't fucked up in their life sometime, someway be the first to cast the stones at Mr. DUI here. Some of you guys are acting like the person is Satan himself.
When I did criminal law, I cut my teeth on DUI defense. The vast majority of DUI cases I saw were just regular decent Joes out making a stupid mistake and not bad people.

That's a stupid mistake.
Drinking and driving has potentially lethal consequences. A little outside the "stupid mistake" realm, especially when that mistake ends in a fatality.
