It's more of a status symbol than it is a refreshing beverage. I've had Cristal and Dom and don't like either.
European Champagne is made from grapes they were going to toss out because they weren't good enough for the wines. Some dude decided to carbonate it in attempts to mask the bad flavor and that is why European Champagne sucks ass.
