Dunno from my read of that article I'd say she was clearly insane, and she IS now in a maximum security mental hospital. Not really "getting away" with it.

heard loads of the testimony, especially the husbands who even got up during the killing and thought she was just changing diaper or something, but went back to sleep.
he woke up to police with guns in his face.
4 EXPERTS, including the ones the PROSECUTION brought said she was insane.
I also read and watched a shitload of coverage on this and had district attorneys saying
"Wow, this is a really rare case, I have nver in 30+ years seen multiple experts agree on insanity"
if 4 experts found her insane, the jury can hardly simply overlook that facty.
4 experts were called into this trial, FOUR!!! thats rare, and all said she was insane without a doubt.
jury cant argue agsindt that too much though ya know... when even the prosecutions expert agrees on her insanity hahaha
