On some of the commercials they now say, "I'm (whoever), and I approve this message." I don't remember them ever doing this. Is this something new because of a law change or something?

Seems to me (if I remember right) that in one of the recent elections a state or local office for one of the parties made a comercial/s that said some things that the person running did NOT say. And they caught some flak over it.
It does sound pert stupid.
A New law does takes effect soon banning soft money tho!! Another repub shot to try and hold the other parties back. Its designed to favor them from what the news people are saying.
