    I'm shitting blood

    I'm fucked, today I had an unusually solid and hard shit, I had to strain really hard, and after it came out, about 5 seconds later, I stood up and bright red blood ran out of my ass down my leg...I freaked the fuck out.

    Anyone else have blood shitting stories to comfort me...I don't have insurance, and fuck doctors anyway, they don't know shit.

    I'm afraid to shit now.

                                  You should drink plenty of water and eat some fibrous food to soften your stool and get some exercise. Probably wanna get some cream for your ass as well until things calm down.

                                      This is likely the truth.

                                      Bleeding higher in the bowels will lead to unusually hardened stool that is usual very dark/black in color.

                                      That said... go see a doctor.

                                                      reasons. Some of which are life threatening if not treated early.

                                                      Go to the doctor.

                                                      It's way too hard to diagnose from simple descriptions. There are
                                                      a number of things it can be. Some of which are harmless, but a
                                                      few of which are deadly.

                                                      I hate doctors.... I educate myself and treat myself.....

                                                      but

                                                      I'd be going to the doctor if that happened to me.

                                                              If the blood is bright red, then you are probably going to be okay.
                                                              Small tears(fissures), broken blood vessels(from straining), polyps (small tumorlike growths, usually benign), and hemorroids(enlarged vein that can be external or internal) can cause mild to moderate bleeding in the colorectal region of your digestive tract.

                                                              Also this type of bleeding will usually be on the outside of the feces.


                                                              Dark purple or red so dark it's almost black blood located inside the stool itself is a dangerous sign. This means you have a problem located much higher up. You need to get help ASAP if this is or ever becomes the case.

                                                              It is probably still a good idea to see your doctor for a physical examination. He can refer you to a proctologist , or prescribe treatments for the above mentioned ailments.

                                                              I would take a natural stool softener, like flaxseed oil or hemp oil.
                                                              This can relieve some of the pressure cause by straining.

                                                                          Happened to me once - turns out I had E.Coli poisoning (although the syptoms were completely different to yours, apart from the shitting blood bit) and ended up spending a few days in hospital, doped to the eyeballs on Pethedin...

                                                                              If it was the first time, and a small amount of bright red blood don't worry about it. The story u give makes it unlikely to be something serious. Get a stool softener, you'll be fine.

                                                                              Like people have been saying, black incredibly foul smelling stools = blood from higher, much worse.

I also do wildlife rehabilitation. I may also continue on into veterinary science.
