We offer demo startup databases as it is right now, but uinfortunately will not be offering anything more than that due to conflict of interest. We promise complete confidentiality to people providing us with their site lists to convert to our program for them.Originally posted by broke

I've found this to be the best policy with LinkUp as well. Newbies
want a database of 1,200 TGPs. While 600 of those TGPs have no
traffic or don't update. With all these people using the same data
and submitting crappy galleries it makes it hard for the pros to
stand out in the crowd. With custom databases it means people
are free to create their own little market with a unique database
including partner codes and sites which aren't being spammed
very much.
I'd put up a privacy policy but I don't care.. :-P If you're paying for
a program there is no need for me to spam you.

Actually we already offer a one time database conversion when signing up. You just export your database and send us the list of your submit urls and we draw those urls from our master database list of predefined sites and create a database for you.(only for movie submit sites atm) The only thing you need to add is your partner accounts.Originally posted by beemk

The submitter is fully operational with MGP and TGP but we only offer the conversion for movie databases at this time. (we will soon offer the same for picture databases)ICQ9635421

The idea of having to build/maintain my own database(s) makes my hair stand on end.
I used TGSW when it first came out and I remember spending days activating the database and more time each week attempting to keep it up to date. The big appeal of the next generation of auto-submitters (and the update service for TGSW) was precisely their claims that all this work would be a thing of the past.
Of course, most of them failed dismally to deliver, but some of their successors do a much, much better job. Now I would have to be dragged kicking and screaming back to the bad old days.
If I only needed a short custom list, I would likely use something cheap and cheerful like GASS. Otherwise, the most important thing for me is the completeness and ongoing integrity of the database. And I like to be able to identify errors easily so that I'm not taking someone's word for it that the database is solid.
Character recognition and some of the other DS features are in themselves a step forward, but only if they come with a database service.Comment

The great thing about our advanced error checking module is that you notice any changes as soon as you do a submission and can fix them on the fly, it doesnt seem to be much of a hassle at all when it works this way.ICQ9635421

TGSW is it's HTML based forms. Browser forms are really bad for
mass data entry. They are slow and not very dynamic. Whereas
windows programs have the benefit of being able to run quick
queries for things like combo box values changing. Meaning the
data entry is a hell of a lot faster then scripts like TGSW. I'm sure
dreamsubmitter is the same in this regard, it's just that a desktop
program will always be easier for data entry.

Agreed. Dreamsubmitter handles form filling really quick, and is desktop based. One thing i noticed though is with other submit programs they are very clunky and slow on older computers, dreamsubmitter seems to be a lot faster.Originally posted by mryellow

DS is very hard to add a new site... even with the form professor, it looks like.
AS, I can put in the submit url, the recip url, and be done with it.
It may be a nice proggie for really technical guys, or someone who wants to autosubmit, but...
For me, I got lost just watching the videos. I can't devote 3+ days to get my tgp database in there, and then another day or 2, trying to figure out how to work everything.
Make it for stupid lazy people like me, and you may have a winner, at this point, Im just waiting for my trial to end... =(Comment

Noone has mentioned Chameleon Submitter... okay it can't beat the turning tests or handle scheduling, YET, but the database is updated at least once a week and it's quite a nice submitter. Some prefer AS or Russian. It's getting to be like choosing a flavor of ice cream. Nice to see Dream Submitter raising the bar a little with some welcome new features though.ICQ: 91139591Comment

I'd like to say that the reason why I'm showing props to Dreamsubmitter in my sig now is that I admire Nifield's support.
He's stayed on ICQ on ends guiding me through Dreamsubmitter.
Additionally, he added the changes I suggested to Dreamsubmitter in less than a day!
How's that for support.
