About putting the hall of fame at the bottom... I have found the opposite works for me. In fact most of my sites are basically just a huge hall of fame with a 'today' section stuck in the middle. Bookmarkers should be smart enough to work out where to look on your site for new galleries.

loaded "sortta fine" for me. not that slow. you might wanna think about throwing some compression at the thumbs. the few i did a properties on came up around the 6K mark. normally i try to crunch a 88x88 down to around 2K and they don't look "bad". might help on that load time thing others are complaining about ...Need a Dedicated Box with BALLS ?
