We, as we I mean the USA, do not and have never had weapons of mass destruction (since the japan incident htat we wont talk about)

All you have to do is shoot first, then clean up whatever gets
launched with star-wars. However as said above the USSR was
further along with their anti-nuke shields. So... To stop things
getting out of hand they signed a treaty agreeing not to produce
anti-nukes, so that the arms race wouldn't escalate even further.
Now the USSR is gone the US has no need for non-proliferation
pacts and can now drop them and go ahead with it's anti-nuke
weapons.
However.... Times have changed, global nuclear war is no longer
the way it's done. Ever heard of something called a ?cruise
missile?? Well they are actually sub-kiloton nuclear weapons.

me. Uranium from plutonium breeder reactors and small payload
nuclear bombs are now the way it?s done. Just glad I don?t live in
a neighbourhood which has DU shells from A-10?s scattered all
over it. Can do without the cancer.
