Okay sure .. But what if you ARE an honest gallery submitter. You would have a problem with an honest submitter, maybe even one you've given a partner account to, using a tool to make their day easier ... Because others may abuse this tool?

it all started when guys hacked their TGSW scripts, used it on multiple domains, and started spamming away. That wasn't what the submit tool was intended for, and of course, cheaters just made things harder on us all. TGP owners, and TGP submitters alike.

Lenny you work for SocalCash right? They're a sponsor of GallerySubmitter.com at the moment. Will you guys be dropping support of that program?

        Spend you some brain.

The way I see it is like this.

First there were autosubmitters, and people spammed the crap out of TGP's using fake email addresses and proxy ip's.

So the people who write TGP scripts came up with email validation. An email was sent to the address you used to submit and you had to click on it to get the gallery reviewed.
Now at least the TGP owners knew there was a valid email address being used and an actual person was clicking on the link.

Then the autosubmit programmers came out with automated email confirmers.

So the people who wrote TGP scripts came up with the image code validation, so that an actual person had to read the code and enter it into a field in order to submit.
Once again the TGP owners knew that an actual person was looking at the submit form, which cut down on the amount of crap they received.

Now the auto submit programmers are coming out with something to bypass that.....its ridiculous.

Its like the guy who sold radar detectors to the public, then went and sold radars to the police departments that the detectors wouldn't pick up.
Then went back to the public and sold them new detectors which could detect the new radars.....and it goes on and on and on.

You notice the only people getting rich out of this deal are the ones writing the programs? In the long run they're not helping submitters or TGP owners.

Yeah most TGP owners don't want anybody else to make any money .. they want it all. So they go to ridiculous paid submission prices.

Did any of you ever stop to think that the reason the TGP owner put that image there is because they DON'T WANT YOUR AUTOSUBMITS???

The TGP game has been gradually moving to partner accounts/paid listings and things like this will just expedite that process.
It started with Russian Submitter and its been downhill since then.

Those of you who use a product that has features designed to break a TGP's rules are digging your own grave. A LOT of you are in for a rude awakening when you wake up one morning and find out you can't get 2 hits from anywhere without paying for them.
I totally agree. I have never used an auto submitter and don't ever plan on it. I appreciate getting listed and getting traffic, and figure the least I can do is follow the rules that the TGPs have made. Paid listings are not fun.

My problem isn't with honest gallery submitters or even submit tools in general.
My employee uses advanced submitter for hand submits and uses russian submitter to auto submit. There are hundreds of TGP's out there that are happy to take auto submits because they're small and its the only way they would ever get ANY submits.

My problem is with the programmer who writes a program intentionally designed to auto submit to TGP's that have said on their submit page NO AUTO SUBMITS.
Then they have gone through additional trouble and expense to install the image validation code on their submit page to block autosubmits.
Then along comes a script kiddie with a program to bypass that and the TGP gets flooded with crap submits from cheaters again, making it that much harder for us honest webmasters to get our galleries reviewed and listed.

The same thing happened with email, how many people have genuine double opt in lists or expired members lists that they legitimately have the right to mail to? Now those lists are practically worthless. WHY?
Because some other script kiddie came out with super duper spammer 2000 that spoofs the return path, IP address, and everything else so that the surfer gets flooded with so much god damn spam they never even see the email solicitations they requested to see.

When you come out with a script and it's main feature is its ability to break the TGP's rules, I have a hard time believing that your target market is the "honest webmaster"

To use your gun analogy, sure hunters can have guns.
But if smith and wesson came out with a fully automatic assault rifle that had a fingerprint resistant finish and came with cop killer bullets, would you believe that "hunters" were their target market??

But i WILL say that dreamsubmitter submits with 99% accuracy and can be setup to comply with ALL rules on EVERY TGP/MGP. You are always going to get cheaters be it manual or autosubmitters, that cant be helped. But when a form is changed or a description length is cut off due to the field length being changed, dreamsubmitter is one of the only submitters that will SKIP the site and mark it with an error, so you can go back and make sure that you make necessary changes without spamming incorrect information.

And with dreamsubmitter it is also an option to do all your submissions by hand, and just have them autofill, you check the information over, and then hit the submit button.

Again, i don't support cheaters and i don't support people that are too stupid to read the rules on mgp/tgps. I'm just trying to say that it is possible to use dreamsubmitter AND comply with all of the issues you have brought to the table.

First of all, I was interested in the passphrase feauture as well, but intended to use it in semi-auto mode.... basically a form filler but not an autosubmit. Russian Submitter has human-emulator, AS has a semi-auto mode, and now DreamSubmitter has the same thing except they have figured how to fillin the passphrase field.

If a TGP prohibits autosubmits, I'll respect their rules, but that doesn't mean I cannot use the form filler. For all the manual submit TGPs , I review the filled in data manually and then confirm it. Don't accuse all gallery submitters of cheating.

I consider myself a very honest webmaster, and thus a minority group on GFY.

As as matter of fact, Russian Submitter does NOT EVEN ALLOW using autosubmit on certain TGPs that have prohibited autosubmits. You must use hand or semi-auto mode.

Those making accusation should not make generalizations about the gallery submitters or the software developers without getting their facts straight first......

Yeah .. I see your points, Lenny.

I for one truley believe that the cheaters aren't long for this business. It's simply too small, and getting too competitive. You need to have a good reputation, and network.

There's lots of ways to get rid of cheaters. Here's a trick I find particularily useful:

Most MGP/TGP software can search submissions for banned text strings. When you catch a cheater, instead of blocking his IP or domain and waiting for his next one .. Block his refference code to his sponsor by text.

Most cheaters are trying to use only a small handfull of the large programs .. Blocking one guys Nasty Dollars ID, stopped his bullshit submissions to my site all together.

                    I realize it isn't perfect .. Just a hint.

My point is just that every time someone comes out with a program that facilitates cheating it makes it that much harder on the honest webmaster, even if the honest webmasters are using those same tools to do their work.

I'm not thinking about how much easier my submits could be tomorrow because somebody came out with a new program.
I'm thinking about how many less places will be willing to take submits at all in 6 months because of the ripple effect something like this will have.

I understand your concerns here for sure. I spend a lot of time talking to webmasters on ICQ .. And I'm spending more time posting here. I want people to know I'm an honest submitter, and I want to have an honest track record to be able to point to ... So when/if most sites are partner only .. I'll be there with a partner account.

I myself, don't autosubmit to sites that specifically don't want it. I do however, use my autosubmitter to fill the form. If it does the passcode for me, it will be that much easier. I'll press the submit button myself, and be breaking no rules.

The "passphrase automation" function you are talking about hasn't even been coded into our program yet, so how can you say that it is our "main feature"?. Everyone that has tried our program absolutely loves it regardless of functions to come, and that has nothing to do with breaking ANY tgp/mgp rules.

I consider myself an honest webmaster, and I had it written with functions *I* would like to see in it. It was not written to help cheaters or spammers. If you have a problem with them ban their domains or go partner only. If anything it was written to be able to submit with accuracy and NOT piss anyone off.

I understand you're frustrated with cheaters and spammers, I am too, but please don't try and throw me or my program into the same category.

If you are banning by their affiliate ID, it won't matter who steals your gallery. Unless of course, they're submitting copies of your galleries with your affiliate code. This would be unlikely, as they'd simply be making you money. It's been my experience, most cheaters don't want to make money for others.

If you are banning by their affiliate ID, it won't matter who steals your gallery. Unless of course, they're submitting copies of your galleries with your affiliate code. This would be unlikely, as they'd simply be making you money. Yes, I did read it. But my experience has been that the pro gallery re-direct cheaters DO copy other people's galleries, as is, including the original sponsor codes - even counter codes.

There have been numerous threads posted by irritated gallery submitters on this board, and many others. That is why I dont feel it is an entirely fair way to go. It's a pretty slick way to catch cheaters, but too many other people might wind up getting banned.

I see. I really don't think the majority of cheaters would leave original linking codes in place. I guess you've given me something to think about in this respect.

I know if I end up banned somewhere, I review everything i've been doing at that site. If I can't see where I've broken any rules, I'll email them. If somehow I was banned by mistake, most MGP owners will be willing to review that.

I must have seen at least a dozen replies in your thread from people who were going to buy the program "IF" you got the passphrase automation working.

So let's stop and ask ourselves a question. WHY did the TGP owner put the image validation code on the submit page to begin with?
Was it because they thought it was pretty and spruced up the page?
                                              I doubt it.

My best educated guess is that the pass phrase is there to ensure that an actual person is looking at the submit page instead of having the submit done by an autosubmitter.
You willfully admit that your plan is to add a function to your submitter that fills the validation code without the submitter having to visit the submit page.
If you ask me that's facilitating breaking the TGP's rules, when the rule is NO AUTOSUBMITS.

And for the record, I don't own a TGP. I'm just a gallery builder who has watched his margins shrink month after month because the cheaters and the programmers who cater to them have made it harder for the honest guy to make a buck.

There you have it ... If they offer a reasonably easy way, for any tgp/mgp owner to block their site from being autosubmitted by Dream Submitter .. That reinforces his claim they're working for honest webmasters, not cheaters.

Yes, i openly admit i use proxies at times. I don't use them for cheating, i use them because there are a NUMBER of gallery submitters in the lower mainland using shaw internet and sometimes i get messages late in the day saying "You have already submitted 3 galleries today" when i havent even submitted one. So i use proxies to get my 3 submissions in for the day for those sites. The sites that ask for no proxies i dont submit with proxies, or i talk to them and ask them.

Again you're trying to suggest that I'm a cheater or that my program supports cheaters, yet this is a perfectly honest way of doing something if you handle it properly.

Clearly these spots are worth way more than you pay for them. MGP owners are by nature not greedy, and they want to help you make money. Each spot is in fact worth much more than they're selling it for. The reason they're not making galleries for those spots, to make more money .. Is to help us gallery submitters.

Fortunately things are like this .. So with 4 x 30 galleries and $5000 you will probably make $20,000 in your first month!

I wouldn't consider it a "new cool feature" on the software, it is strictly made to break the rules. It is not meant to make submitting much easier, which is what most of them are thinking. Breaking the rules does NOT make submitting easier, but harder. I am with the whole partner account/ paid listing shift. It is not the owners fault, but a majority of the submitters. Laziness will crumble many good things in this biz.

Look carefully, you'll see me all over big MGPs/TGPs. I guess that's becaue I'm breaking all their rules and pretty soon I'm done for.
