I know you don't care about the money lost, but shit man, that's asking for trouble. I've adopted a new policy with just about every service I use... no upfront payments. Sure you have many designers and programmers that all "require half or full upfront", but once you have a name that rarely applies.

Oh and if Private Ivy reads this and is half the business woman she claims to be, she should seriously consider dropping Heather. I would never want anyone closely associated with me dragging my name and reputation through mud.
