As a novice to photography, i would rather just start working with bikini models and work my way up to adult. Its alot easier finding quality bikini models, cheaper, better locations due to decency, more comfortable atmosphere, etc... But even if i had the hottest models and the most amazing content would it sell? Or do i need a touch of softcore???

Some of my best converters are non nude models.
Look at what 702 cash, phil flash, xgirls (zoeymodel.com specifically) do. It's not "bikini models" spefically.. but it's all non-nude. Though 702 cash has started doing some nude sites recently. Peachez 18 is still entirely non-nude AFAIK.
Of course I think most of these sell because they offer a "girl friend experience". You'd have to do single girl sites with live chat, custom shoots etc. I don't know much about "bikini / babe" sites. But I can vouch for the non-nude market.

Most babe & bikini sites aren't strictly non-nude though. They cover softcore as well, and are about the best teaser sites going, always have been. That's where I got my start in this business.
