There have been tons of questions regarding the new CHAMPS system so we've compiled all of them in one list.

For those of you that would like to make some great money in a BYOT type of program, But Better, continue with this LOOONG post.

CHAMPS Fact Sheet & FAQ - 3/29/04

- How do webmasters earn Content Points for CHAMPS?
1) you are given 1500 free content points to use for your members area content
2) you can purchase more on 5/1 with your rewards points
3) you can earn more points by making sales
4) trade in your existing BYOT's from our old system

- Free DVD?s at Launch:
10 Free DVD's will be available at launch on 4/1/04.
We will cover 10 niches with the 10 DVD's.
No points required to acquire scenes from those DVD's.

This means you will be able to add content to your members areas to beef them up.

You can't build sites just based on this content though. You still require 12 bought (from content points) scenes to start. It's your choice to use this content for updates but the standard "5 times use" bought scenes will make your sites more unique as the bought scenes will only be available on 5 sites in total.

Remember all other scenes can only be used a max of 5 times across the whole AVP network, and content points are required to purchase them.

- When can webmasters submit sites for approval?

They can submit immediately and get them in now! www.arschamps.com

- If a webmaster already has exclusive content and can provide us with a license and the necessary documentation to prove that they have the rights to the content, can they use 3rd party content? Since Option Mind is handling the hosting does the webmaster give up the rights to this exclusive content?

They can use exclusive content. They can't use 3rd party content (owned by other people as well). They do not give up rights at all. It is still their content. They are giving a limited license giving OMS the right to host the content and use it on their site Adult Video Planet (using it only on the webmaster's submitted site).

- Return policy for scenes bought by webmasters:

We are instituting a no questions asked 72 hour refund policy for all our scenes. If you obtained a scene by mistake, you may return it to the pool of content, for a full refund of your content points, by clicking on the link in your "My Account" "Scenes Owned" page.

The link will disappear 72 hours after the transaction has occurred. Webmasters will have until Thursday at 00:00 to refund any scenes, obtained before Monday the 22nd. For any transactions starting on the 22nd, you will have 72 hours from the time of transaction in which to obtain an automatic refund of your content points.

- Will filler content be available within the CHAMPS sites?

We will be offering a super gallery to help those on dialup to be able to view more content.

- What will happen if a webmaster doesn't update their site?

We will have an incentive program set up for those that do and a consequence for those that don't. Those that do update their site regularly will be given higher ranks in the linking code center. They will also get listed higher in the site listings in the AVP member?s area. Those that don't update will get a warning after 30 days. After 60 days, all traffic going to their site will be redirected to a content page that lists sites that are under AVP that members will get access to if they join. That way, people who were promoting the site that wasn't updated will still get credit for their traffic/sales. But the webmaster that didn't update will not get any new sales to their sites. Once they update again, their site will show back up in the linking code center and the redirected traffic to the content page on AVP will go back to their tour.

- Are there official regulations for what constitutes a CHAMPS site getting approved?

A minimum of 12 scenes are required for each site.
A minimum update of one scene per month is required; more is encouraged to keep your members interested. Please update your tour to reflect new content you may have in your member?s area.

- Are CHAMPS sites 100% exclusive content?

Content is not exclusive - CHAMPS contains some movie content/DVD?s for sale as some other companies license. We have done some great things for webmasters though, such as pay for it all, encode it all & host the content. Publishers don?t have to buy content, encoded it, or even sit and ftp upload.

- Members Area:

Members get access to the MINIMUM 12 scenes in the site they join as well as access to EVERY OTHER SITE in the portfolio

- Is CHAMPS an AVS?

It?s not an AVS because ALL CONTENT IS HOSTED at adultvideplanet.com and fully licensed.
Publishers are selling a video product with a custom tour and custom member?s area.

- Will webmasters with a domain name and control over their own DNS be permitted to have a CNAME pointing to WEBMASTERSITE.adultvideoplanet.com?

You can either control your own domain and put the ARS linking code in a frame or a redirect, or a cname, so the redirect will be faster for the surfer. Any traffic sent to ?site.com? will automatically be routed to site.adultvideplanet.com and the linking tracking code for the owner of the site will be activated.

With our system, the tracking is on the first page, not when your traffic clicks though to your join page. Also, since we?re not allowing .com .net in site designs, a smart thing to do is own ?site.com? and do galleries and traffic design on that domain. Then send to site.adultvideplanet.com which would have a match design and name, but would make no reference to ?.com?

No need to waste a domain on your AVP site, and use another for galleries. Just use the domain for your promotions and galleries. This should increase conversion when the domains and names all match; this was the point of BYOT, but the problem was not having matching members areas, which every CHAMPS site will have from the start.

- When can webmasters begin redeeming Reward Points?

Webmasters will be able to use their rewards points to get CHAMP content points when the system is open for points redemption again ? 5/1.

- How are BYOT trade-in?s handled?

All webmasters have been credited with 1000 points per BYOT that had active BYOTs in the system.

- Join Page, can webmasters create them? Will they have a form to put in a custom page with codes?

Yes webmasters will be designing the join pages with OMS supplying the join forms.

- Are sample clip on the tours or possibly on the join page allowed?

In this first release the answer is no, BUT, we will provide a 15 to 30 second preview clip for every scene eventually. In the meantime build your sites without this feature.

- Linking to the rest of the Champs sites into the member area:

CHAMPS will auto include a top frame/bar in every members area that will link back to the main AVP site listing as well as links to troubleshooting etc. This way, members will be able to navigate from site to site with ease. Also, there will be a standard page available at members.adultvideoplanet.com

- Will there be cross sells or up-sells?
No.

- Download content codes and promotional items for each screen, what are the differences?
1) Web Ready and Thumb Images
Are screen caps in a high quality jpg format with thumbs.
2) Design and Thumb Images
Are screen caps in a web quality jpg format with thumbs.
3) Design, Web Ready, and Thumb Images
Includes both web-ready and high quality screen caps.
4) Scene Codes, Replacement Tags, Example Include
This includes all codes and tags.

- Can webmasters use screen caps as promo material?

Yes.

- BYOT owners receive the 1000 pts for each BYOT they already have. Do they also get the 1500 pts as the other webmasters get?

That is correct. They will get the 1500 points that all webmasters get as well as an additional 1000 points for every BYOT they have activated in the system currently.

- Are webmasters allowed to use php in the tours and the member?s area for automatic updates?

No, we wont be allowing scripting and php with the first round launch of CHAMPS.

- Can webmasters include pop-ups, pop-unders, consoles, etc?

There will be no consoles or pop-ups/unders inserted or allowed.

- Will webmasters be allowed to link to the main sites join page?

Presently, you can link to www.adultvideoplanet.com TOUR, not to the join page. You can also link to any site in the network.

- Why not just make your own pay-site?

Webmasters would have to pay for content, hosting and try to find affiliates to promote the site for them. This way, the only thing webmasters worry about is making a decent site.

- Is this AVS type model of getting access to all the member?s areas a good idea?

Absolutely, because a video scene can only be used a total of 5 times before it is taken out of the content database. The whole point of providing all the content is to get more surfers to pay for the use of the entertainment site longer. The idea is to get signups and have those members retain because we?re providing quality content. We want to focus on retention and make the most money for the site designers as possible, because their real revenue potential is in recurring members. It?s all about giving the members what they want to see, quality unique content that they can?t get from every membership site out there. CHAMPS will retain the surfer longer than any ?typical? membership site.

hmmm...BradM, you must have us confused with someone else because no ARS CHAMPS sites have been open for promotion yet so there aren't any ratios to compare. All CHAMPS sites will be released and available for promotion as of April 1st though.

Presently, webmasters can create the sites, but promotion doesn't start until 04/01.

Alex, you did not lose any of your rewards points; and you don't have to use them for content.

You can still get your hot tub when the system opens for points redemption again on 5/1. We just put the redemption program on hold until 5/1 to upgrade and automate it more...our rewards points gal was working double time getting everyone's orders in and things will go out a lot smoother when we re-open the system again. But we are not keeping your reward points...they are and always will be yours.

Either my eyes are lazy or I'm really stupid...
