If you use a firewall from Black Ice or Real Secure then you better disable it. This aint no email virus; it breaks through these firewalls and tricks them into killing your harddrive to the point where the PC has to be rebuilt. No shit!

BTW: I just have no concept of why people want to spread a virus or worm. It just seems like the internet is like walking down the street and waiting to get shot.

This is not a very smart move. A firewall protects you from 100's of viruses and to switch other firewalls off just because you might be affected by one would be simply stupid.

You are quite right, which was what I was sarcasticly pointing out when he reccomended shutting down your firewall, but this thick as shit fuckface was too stupid to see it. I got called mr taliban.

that's ridiculous. If you keep the software up, unpatched then the chance of your system dying is VERY high. The chance of you getting infected by a trojan before u can update stuff is very low.

Balance the risks.
