I agree with this....everyone is not born knowing how to do things....so if you educate the person, they can eventually appreciate it...
My Ex-husband SKULL-BUITRE ran off to Colombia with OUR money and screwed me after I helped him build OUR business.
He is hiding in Colombia and never paid the settlement $ from our divorce!

what do you think?
I would because I enjoy good food and wine, and I would be there too. On the flip side, would you really want to eat at dump just because your guest might not know how to appreciate fine dining.
disclaimer: if he/she is a real pig I sure wouldn't take them to a nice restuarant that I want to go back to.
a lot of times, expensive restaurants have food that the normal person does not eat often. a lot of tastes people never experienced. so they might really not like the experience.

Not everybody enjoys a good 40oz and a bucket of chicken ya know.
Where in my post where I talked about wine, scotch, cigars, good food, etc, did you find the notion that I was talking about a 40oz and a bucket of chicken?
And I enjoy the "well rounded package" PLUS I can enjoy the 40oz and chicken......
I'm just cool like that.

Not being an asshole maybe...but pretentious?
As for wine...I cannot tolerate the taste of any wine...at the least...any wine I have ever tasted. To me a nice restaurant is one that is reasonably clean...serves a reasonably quality of food...in reasonable quantities...at a reasonable price. It has been my experience that "nice" restaurants are on the expensive side and the quality of the food fails to justify the expense...but admittedly...sometimes the ambiance helps to justify the expense.
When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!
But most wines are wayyy over rated anyways... you pay for the name

Good luck Q!
Now, now - I was raised in a very wealthy household loaded with culture...and Southern Baptist beliefs. I don't know shit about wine except what I like which can range from a $2 bottle with a screw top to a $300 bottle I fell in love with
