At the risk of sounding too much like "640k should be enough for everybody" I want to know what the hell you need a 1 gbit/sec consumer link for?? There's no way that a single TCP/IP stream could go that fast, the only way you would even come close to using that capacity is through multiple streams. Sure, you could have 10 DVD-quality channels coming in all at once, but how do you watch them?
