    Hits or visitors which do you count as important?

    I am tired of people bragging about getting thousands of "hits"
    on thier site. I get like 200,000 hits on my site per day but only around 5,000 visitors. To me the visitors and even more so the unique visitors are what is important not the hits.

                              More visitors means they like what they saw.

                                                                          Hits are important if you want the person to like the site and come back. If uniques and hits are too close then the site is not sticky which is ok if that is what you want.

                                                                                                          It depends on a site. If it's a TGP then it's the same thing. Lots of hits is good because they're productive and you need multiple visits if you're going to build traffic.
