    Microsoft told me not to switch to Linux!!!!!!

    OMG LOL

    I called Microsoft yesterday to see if they can solve my WinXP installation problems (see previous threads!).. Well, they couldn't do anything sicne my copy was OEM. Today they call and offer to keep my case open just in case, see if maybe in the future there would be anything they can do (WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT MEANS). I told them I'm switching to Linux because there's no way I'm paying $300 again just because I lost a CD but still have the license and everything issued to me..

    The girl was saying (in half English half Hindi) how she wouldn't recommend Linux because it'll be difficult to get used to it, support issues (fuckers, you didn't help me either, COST, etc etc.

              with all your problems with spyware and software you've posted on this board, you might consider reading up on linux before you switch.

                  I've been using Linux since 95... Mostly for servers purposes, but I've tried it many times before as a Desktop alternative. I switched back to Windows last year when my gf was sharing that box.
