    Would you host Hosted Galleries on same server as my paysite?

    I have a paysite that I'm going to be offering a few people the chance to promote Hosted Galleries for the site. Should I host the Hosted Galleries on the same domain as the paysite, or should I host it on a different domain and server? What are your opinions on this? what are the negatives and positives?

    Nastydollars for example hosts all their hosted galleries not on the paysite itself, but on nastydollars.com

    What is the reason for this?

      Is it going to be the same physical server(s) and same pipe?
      If it is then there would be no reason not to host them on the same domain.
      Even using the same domain you can specify a different A Record for the galleries. Something like galleries.domain.com and have that point to a different server.
      I would expect alot more traffic to the galleries that would not be productive and would therefore host them on a seperate box/pipe so it would not slow down the paying members.

          host the galleries on a different server, when its all on one, its not that safe when the server has some down time, you have more troubles...

              right, you usually do not want to have your hosted gallerie son the same server as your paysite.
