The new VW's may look like nice rides but since '94 they've all been money pits, constant defects, engine fuck ups and safety issues. I would not buy a newer VW until they shut down that damn Brazil plant and get workers who know how to walk and chew bubble gum at same time.
A buddy of mine's dad had a 98 VW Jetta and traded it in for a piece of shit Crystler PTCruiser if you can believe that. Guy feels much safer and doesn't have to keep pouring money into it as much as the VW. That says a lot right there.Comment
