I always tell these girls to do reference checks and to bring an escort. I also encourage taking pepper spray or even a high voltage zapper. I don't understand how naive some of these girls are. I've heard of photographers saying they don't want the model to bring an escort (I wonder why), and they go anyway... and then they get abused... and even murdered. Go figure.
Something like this happens evey once in a while and creates a stir in the industry and then girls are a bit more cautious for a few weeks or months, and then they let their guard down again.

I can understand that some photographers dont want male escorts for the models. The guys will sometimes try to get pushy and put their nose in the business. The best thing is that the model takes another female with her, and also has all of your studio with someone that is not at the shoot.

No offence to the agents, but many of my models have reported that the so called agents are the worst - usually want a high percentage and keep the model in the dark, want to fuck them for free before the shoot, etc.
The whole concept is weird. As if a third party can do a better job looking out for her safety than she can?
Every model that I see that is young and inexperienced I advise to tell photographers she'll be bringing a male escort - if he says no, run like hell.
Its a hell of a screening method and works like a charm. I have never had the slightest problem with models bringing boyfriends. 9 times out of 10 they even offer to help with some chores, and on that rare occasion when you get a dickhead I just make it clear that they either wait in adjacent room or there is no shoot.
Its a shame really this exists in our business. Fortunately murder is rare but I have had countless models tell me photographers were unpleaasant, abusive or controlling, sorry it seems to go with the biz and I hope has porn matures the creeps will get out.I have no signatureComment

You are right in this business agents dont give a shit, a model from of mine wound up in a hospital from a shoot a agent sent her on. The problem is models get greedy for cash and dont think. Going to the middle of fucken nowhere PA alone to shoot with a guy who works out of his apartment is fucking stupid especially when its a bdsm shoot.
After reading both articles I bet what is going to come out is during the bondage shoot something happened ,someone tied her up wrong or she got scared and had a heart attack or she choked on the ball gag.
