i´m an uruguayan, from Montevideo, Uruguay.
i think´s nice, secure and (+ or -) cheap. (with 2000 ? / usd u can live really really fine).
now where are entering in the summer and u have Punta del Este if want some fiesta.
u got sea (technically is a river but..) and the beatiful "rambla".
next Buenos Aires (big BIG city) at less than 1 hour in airplane, 2 in ship or 5 in car (if you feel yoursel fast and furious ;)).
i was in Europe (Madrid, Barcelona, Roma, Amsterdam) and think is wonderful, still love my little Montevideo.
