With this scheme you need proof that you actually were where you said you were. Hotel bills will do the trick.
Problem is, you must be able to explain how you were able to PAY the hotel bills.

If you're an American citizen, forget it, you'll have to pay wherever you reside.
If you leave the U.S., you can live somewhere else and they'll leave the first 70k, above you have to pay.
It takes 10 years before you're not obliged to pay anymore.
