It's great here when the sun is shining, allthough I miss some products they simply don't sell or you need to pay $$$ import duties for.

But let me tell you, rainy season here is much worse than dutch winters !

If you can't afford the Bahamas, check out Barbados and Dominica, those are both great islands.

If you like to keep close to Europe and enjoy the best climate in the world (except for Costa Rica) try out a cheap vacation to :

1. Canary Islands. NOT Playa del Ingles, try La Gomera or Tenerife, explore the islands and leave the tourist areas. Part of Spain and member of EU, if you start a hotel or pub there, you pay 50% less corp. taxes, about 22% total. Cash your checks at the bar, hehe. A friend of mine does, and it works.

2. Malta. Great, dry climate, everyone talks english, very cheap, member of EU.

3. Ibiza. Also part of spain, tax incentives if you plan to run a pub/disco and great fiesta island. Very close to Gibraltar.

4. Madeira, Part of Portugal, check out tax incentives.

5. Ireland, not to live, but lowest TAX rate in EU, only 10-12.5 %

You shouldn't think of 6 months here, 6 months there.

Think about 2-3 months here, 2-3 months there, much better.

If you choose the Canary Islands, you can have vacations with cheap flights to anywhere, because a lot of jets are flying back EMPTY to all kinds of destinations. You can book cheapest in UK.

I can go on and on for hours.

Personally I think you'll like Ibiza and Tenerife very much.

You can own a diving school or your own pub (without working there, just hire the girls) and enjoy tax relief and get great quality living, great climate, parties all year and girls from around the world.

Let me know if you plan to go there, it's fun !
Great info, helps me out a lot. Somewhere closer to Holland is fine as well, like Ibiza but most places like that you still pay taxes and thats something i want to avoid. Maybe after a while i want to open a bar or something but right now thats not priority...internet is my business and i plan to retire from it (soon hahaha) and then maybe start something else.
