It sounds cheesy, but I really believe you get out of this world (universe maybe?) what you project out. If you believe you will succeed at something, you will. Conversly, if you believe you will fail at something, you undoubtedly will. It's the same sort of thing in respect to how people will see and ultimately treat you.
