The pond runs 24/7/365. Our high temps have been in the 60s this week so the koi are getting active. Saw two eagles circling yesterday, but they just peek around and go. Haven't caught a heron trying to fish yet this year.Originally posted by CDSmith

Because of the heron and raccoons I have a net over the pond. I think the eagles can see it. Until this year they ha a favorite scraggly branch on a nearby tree where they'd sit and watch until the crows harrassed them too much. The top of that tree broke off in a winter storm so they may be trying to figure out where to sit to watch the pretty fishies.Originally posted by CDSmith
