Sounds like a Russian using a Canadian mailing address to scam.

I got bit on a scam like this on Ebay last year.
A guy used the buy it now to grab a $4,000 Movado watch. He said it had to be sent overnight or no deal because it was for a bday present.

He sent the funds through Paypal, so I sent the watch. Well I guess Paypal can't figure out if they used a stolen credit card within 24hrs. and thats exactly what happened.

I finally got my money back like 3 months later but it took a lot of fighting with Paypal.

Now I never ship anything sold until 48 hrs later or more.

my thoughts exactly... when he mentioned western union that was the final straw. had to go with my gut and cancel his bid.

What an idiot. I would give him negative feedback just for asking such a dumb question and either re-list it or make a second chance offer to another bidder if there were any.

Thats what makes eBay a real shithole to sell in anymore. Everything is just a real pain in the ass anymore, espically because there are a few bad sellers that can pretty much do whatever they want because they are power-fucking-sellers.

Not to mention all the crap you have to through just to get your listing fees back when a buyer fucks you over. "But I dont want to try and fucking work it out for 10 days, I want to be done with the son of a bitch."

Then there is the group of idiots that simply cant read. I say in my auction lists countless times NO PAYPAL but I still get people that want my PayPal address. Then there is the bunch that cant send thier payments within 10 days and the excuse is always the same... thier e-mail has been down. If you had a 10 day e-mail outage, its time for a new ISP after like the 3rd day, dont you think? The fact of the matter is these people are simply too stupid to use e-mail or they bought something they cant afford or dont want.

this is supposedly the reason why paypal randomly locks peoples accounts and steals all their money, to make up for the huge fraud they have to cover for.

Don't just trust anyone.

Are you a SquareTrade member? Complain to them and Paypal. Then, the buyers account with paypal will be limited in access and other services...

Shit right then I'd cancel the transaction and put that puppy back up for sale and eat the ebay costs and negative if he chooses to leave one.

definitely dont trust people whether they have 0 feedback or 1000 feedback. make sure theyre feedback is recent.

Turns out he is actually just ONE suburb away - so I told him:
"well how about I send my husband to you to deliver the goods"

he wired the money right away.



just make a complaint to sqauretrade and leave him negative if needs be.

you know you can cancel ppls bids whilst the auction is runnign if they have zero feedback - sometimes helps

whenever i see a 'zero' bidding on one of our auctions i cross my fingers someone with 800+ will come and outbid them


last week someone bid on our auction they were -1 - ive never seen that b4 LOL
