I thought it was awesome end to end. Bill Murray is probably one of the most underrated actors around. Granted, I never want to visit Japan now, but the movie was awesome.

I thought the ending was fantastic... what he says to her only ever stays between them, it's beautiful. In the greater perspective what he says isn't even that meaningful to the viewer - it's the act of parting that matters, and that knowledge that they've shared something extraordinary, and have to go back to their old lives and will probably never see each other again.Comment

i dont know all of what was said, but im pretty sure the 1st thing he whispered in her ear was 'don't worry'.
as for the rest, im content to use my imagination....the ending was fitting to me and i absolutely loved the movie. something about that movie stirred up feelings in me that go along with those summer flings i had when i was younger, and im sure others know what im talking about.....
