i only travel alone these days... it's definitely a LOT of fun - depending on your personality. i'm a total extrovert and i tend to meet people everywhere i go... so the last vacation i took to england and greece i had a total blast traveling alone.

the main things to remember are:

1) if you're going somewhere that you can't speak and read the native language, it's going to be a challenge

2) traveling alone means you can do what you want, when you want to

3) traveling alone means you can get laid as often as you please

I went on a cruise at xmas time solo and it was a blast. Do what you want without having to plan with others preferences.

I'll be doing europe alone once the wife finishes her optometry schooling.

I don't think I could go on vacation alone. I would get bored and then I would probably end up in trouble. :-) I am sure you can find a cutie down at the local strip club to go with you if you pay for her way.

I have traveled to Thailand, Bali, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Nether Antilles cruise and across the US all as solo trips and it was an amazing experience.

If you are outgoing, personable, have street smarts and are comfortable with solitude here and there.... then go for it.

You will meet many other solo travelers, more so than if you were with someone.

Don't wait on anyone else, life too short, go now!

Depends on where I am traveling, on a beach vacation I always go with friends. When I am going on a real traveling vacation, I rather go alone. I want to see things, do things, meet people and thats better to do alone
