    Childrens Television Tit Shot...

Sitting here posting with Mr.Rogers on in the background from where my daughter was watching it this morning before school and he was doing a segment about breast feeding. Showed full-on nipples and everything. Wtf? I didn't know you could show that on PBS even if it was in this context, let alone on a kids show.

It's pretty sick that society has made something like that "weird". The human body is something everybody has, so why shouldn't children know what it looks like and how it works?

Well you're right...absolutely...society has made things like this very taboo and that is wrong. However, I still didn't think you could show tits on regular television here. That was all I was getting at. Just kind of shocked me cause you wouldn't expect to see that in the AM on PBS lol...

Its a pretty fucked society when guns and killing is considered okay and the human body is considered bad.

I think it's great that they are acclimatizing children to that kind of thing.. I think it's wrong to criminalize or alienate mothers who give their baby the best possible sustainance. Ridiculous. Most of the stores, grocery and otherwise here have nursing rooms for mothers, I think that's great.

Ofcourse it was. I was just talking to a fellow Dutchman about how threads like this one really point out the good things of our country (i.e. Holland).

                          Agreed.

In my neck of the woods, women breast feed their children (discretely) in public places without it being a big deal.

Unfortunately, the other side of this coin involves a strong matriarchal movement to 'desexualize' female breasts to facilitate public breast feeding without awkwardness.

I don't believe I'm alone in my view that kids and grownups are entitled to their respective relationships to the female bosom.

there is nothing wrong with breast feeding. A lot of kids watching that will have younger brothers and sisters that are doing it and showing it on tv in safe environment shows them it is natural. Anyone that reacts like that is going to give their child an unnatural view about sex and reproduction.

Pardon me.... but I missed the memo where "guns and killing" was deemed "ok". You'll have to fax me a copy.
