I'm actually very fond of Canadians. They mostly are a friendly good-natured people. I didn?t grow up near the border so when I moved up north I was able to formulate my own opinions about them from my trips without bias.
It always amazes me that a lot of Canadians have an innocent aura about them and they are almost never jaded people. Yet they still retain that ?new world pride? that Americans do (that rough and tough spirit of pioneers). That speaks volumes about their society. I?m not big on socialism but they seem to make it work.
I like to think that the constant back and forth between Canadians and Americans is similar to that of two brothers. One brother is more confrontational and loud, and the other more happy-go-lucky and reserved. You decide which one is which.

I blame greed & religion.
You kidding me, most Canadians want what the US has to offer but without paying the price. Everyone wants to be a fucking movie star with out being in the spotlight (which hate and ridicule always follow).

It was a generalized statement about the world and how everybody wants to be 'like Mike'.
Billions of people copy or model something or themselves (singular or plural entities ? that would be a person or company) after the US, all because of its 'success'.
Placing something on a pedestal and scrutinizing it so to duplicate it merely for profit is no different from idolizing, as far as I am concerned.
Something more simple: every Canadian cold-weather enthusiast knows and hears everyday is another Canadian bitching about the heat, and rarely do they say "I moving to BC", but rather California, Florida and some oven like that.

I don't know anybody that hates Canadians. Nobody. Most people see Canada as a quiet and peaceful place, fresh air, nature, beauty... much like Alaska.
