    Star Wars Episode III: Rise of the Empire?

    EP3: Title Rumors Persist

    OK, two wild rumors on the same subject today.

    The first is that a Costco in Santa Cruz was test running a very early and basic teaser for Episode III. It was described as Vader breathing, then a shot of Hayden to black, then the Helmet and back to black, then you hear the sound of a lightsaber and a big red line across the bottom of the plasma screen. The title card that read Rise of the Empire Coming May 2005.

    Sounds impossible? We thought so too, but decided to run it right after we got more emails from "friends of friends" that also mentioned production for artwork and promotional material is very much underway for a little film called, Rise of the Empire. Legit? Just the rumblings for today ...

    I prefer 'Revenge of the Sith' as a title, but this one ain't so bad, if it's true.

          Ahh finally the last one. Ive been waiting about 30 years for it. It will finally put all the pieces of the puzzle together

                  There have been rumblings lately that Eps 7-9 may eventually get made independently from Lucas's direction. That would be a good thing.

                                  The books have been written already in the early 90's they was the first trilogy of books Lucas gave permission to write, takes place 1 to 3 yrs after Jedi

                                  They have had a few trilogy?s that were ok, but the new series with the "invasion" plain sucked ass. Reason I stopped reading them.

                                                      Speaking from their track record with I and II sucking badly, all signs point to the fact that III will suck as well. I'm sure it will make a ton of money, but it will still most likely suck.

                                                              I think you're referring to the Timothy Zahn 3-part series. It was very good. While I heard it was officially "licensed" as parts 7-9, the movies may have different story lines.

                                                                  There was some post on another msg board showing artist drawings from episode 3. One scene depicted Anakin Skywalker being reconstructed by the Empire and the medical droids are installing that button that calls his parents to come pick him up.

                                                                                  Lets at least hope its better than 1 and 2; those were abysmal disappointments.

                                                                                          Interestingly, Return of the Jedi was originally titled Revenge of the Jedi. Pussy ass Lucas thought it sounded too violent and changed the word to "Return." There are posters out there with the original title worth a lot.

                                                                                                                  Such a shame Lucas turned into a total fag. After LOTR he:

                                                                                                                  a) shouldn't even make the film, because it's going to be horrible
                                                                                                                  b) let someone else direct it the right way.

                                                                                                                  Now I dont want to come off as a Star Wars hater. They were my FAVORITE films as kid and still are today (The original cuts). Lucas just seemed to become a complete Tool, and forget who his real audience is, and starts marketing to kids.

                                                                                                                  The worst thing is that now he says he wants to make the final 3 films after this.

                                                                                                                  ...Just let Pete Jackson (or any director other than himself) direct them, please
