RE what Sokey posted about domain hijacking

I can't find that thread, but he posted that there are people who send huge amounts of spam to free email boxes of domain owners in order to block thier mailbox so that the transfer verification email from the registrar cannot be delivered....

But what's the point of doing it, when - as many people report, in fact nothing has changed, and the fact that the email couldnt be delivered, DOES NOT mean that the transfer will be accepted ?

    What I am missing?

He basically stated that someone tried to hi-jack his domain but he denied it, he then contacted GoDaddy and they told him that even if he didnt deny/accept the transfer it wouldn't go through, contrary to what the new ICANN rule seems to say [although it depends on how you interpret it]
