    Halo 2 cannot be played on an altered XBOX

    ha ha !



    if you chipped your Xbox to play pirated games or you have done anything else with your Xbox you wont be able to play Halo 2!!

      A lot of the new chips you can just take out as they are not hard wired so I don't think that will be much of a problem...

                  you can't play it online thru xbox live tho. The game will check for any altered software and will also check if the HD size is still the same.

                  Xbox with extended HD's and soft cracks will be cut off from Live. Also the game cannot be copied to the HD.

                      mine works fine with a an old mod chip and halo2 copied to the HD, then again i havent tried to go online. I heard about that HD thing earlier, what a pain in the ass.

                      Anyways someone on here posted this link for people with mod chips as an alternative to xbox live

                              i was playing halo on my altered xbox done by a friend of mine who really knows what he is doing and it works fine. Have no problem here. But you need to have done by some who know what he is doing.

                                  Works fine on my chipped box. Haven't been able to dump it to the HD yet, but I've heard people are able to do so after jumping through a few hoops.

                                  I use XBconnect... why pay for Live?

                                      If you don't have a switch turning off the chip, one day you might be surprised that you can't get on Xbox Live. That's why I've had my Xbox altered only by extra BIOS chip and BIOS switcher. Now when I want to play original games (including Xbox Live enabled ones), I switch the original BIOS on and when I just want to have some fun with emulators, I use the altered BIOS.
