I usually lose money. I just spend $300 on traffic to promote a new sponsor who advertises here a lot and I made $180 back.

What kind of traffic did you spend your money on? Broker traffic for the most part is garbage if sent to sponsors. PPC is the way to go if you're buying traffic. The best starting point for newbies IMO is freesites. Build and submit one a day and you'll be closer to your 100k/year goal. Guaranteed.
