It could be that he's killed in the past and no real evidence exists, so this was just the makeup case for those.

If no "real evidence" exists then no one has any right to even accuse him of those crimes.
It sickens me how blood thirsty people are. Of course if someone commits a horrible crime they need to be punished .. but it is the responsibility of prosecutors to "prove beyond a reasonable doubt" that the accused commited a crime.
So even if he's suspected of murder the proesecutors and judges have absolutely no right even concerning themselves with those crimes until the police can produce "real evidence" to prosecute him with.
55 years for marijuana traffic is sick. And a judge that sentences a kid to jail until he's 80 is just as bad as murdering the kid imo.
