In regards to #1, globally we have not seen a slowdown in new joins because we already have their email address. The fact that we are able to get our email thru gives us a leg up on all of the competition.
#2, XXX All Access Pass has NO DEDUCTIONS....so if someone cancels their subscription, you still get paid for the E-mail signup. Most people have cancellation rates well below 10%, so they make more with CE Mags's $1.50 payout even after cancellations. The good news is you can try either one and use the one that works for you.
#3, if you use XXX All Access Pass you don't have to worry about deductions. We have the unsubscribe links in places depending on what works for that ISP to ensure our email gets through. Surprisingly - having the links at the top hasn't increased cancellations because of all the other improvements we've made to the members areas and newsletters. We've actually increased retention rates in the mailers.
