    Why did customs take my lighter?

    I bought one of those cheesey lighters that have Cancun written on the side for one of my friends and packed it in my suitcase to bring home. My friend smokes so he carried his on the plane with him and had no problems at all. I get home and start unpacking, only to find a note from customs saying that they took my lighter with some lame ass reason.

    So my buddy carries his lighter on the plane with him, where he could actually do some damage with it, and has no problems. But mine is packed nicely in my suitcase where I can't do anything with it, and they take it!? WTF?!

    On another note, I thought coming back to the US was going to be a lot more difficult. I think it was easier than getting into Mexico!

      it was confiscated cause bush says it could be used in some mid air baggage compartment "terra-risms"

              o and Sly, signed up for both angelsofporn and strokejobs but the ccbill url for strokejobs doesnt work whatsoever, may want to look into that

                                  Its because your buddy packed his with him and you packed it with your checked baggage, that is a major no-no.

                                          Na, I think it was actually the luggage carriers. I had all new pairs of socks and when I got to my condo, they were gone.

                                                          airport officials took mine too. bought in florida and was travelling back here to minnesota. they said since it was butane lighter fluid it wasn't allowed, although you can have up to 5 regular lighters (BIC's, zippo's, etc.). seemed gay to me.
