If what you send is legal in nature... DBP is supposedly inclined to cough up his information to you if he declines to have it forwarded.

Thanks for the link. That is valuable.
But if I am going after a *poster* on the bulletin board, and not the owner, there is nothing in the dbp agreement to help me.
The owner has not violated any law, but I need to serve this unknown party with court papers demanding the ip address and isp of the person I am going after.
I need their identity and address to do this.
