What's your idea of a FUN vacation?

me - I like to DO STUFF.

in cancun one day i went to the ruins - incredible day - pics will be on fubar shortly.

next day 4 of us rented quads and had a BLAST on the beach and in the jungle.

next day I went deep sea fishing with 9 people. caught 4 7foot sail fish and two tuna. (ok, 6 of us got seasick, but still an experience)

yes - i did goto the bars and and strip clubs and industry dinners and parties in the evening, but i didn't get soo drunk as to not be able to wake up in the morning and do the fun stuff - SOBER - and make some good business connections.

far as I'm concerned those people who couldn't wake up from partying EVERY DAY just don't seem to really get it. i can get drunk at home.

god I LOVE my job. and only 2 weeks till phoenix!!!!!!!!!!

yes... see the sites and experience the culture first-hand. Most people go to these mega resorts in exotic locations and never leave.

btw - nice catch on the tuna... hard fish to catch.

My ideal vacation is to meet people and to do stuff you can never do anywhere else. I hate sitting at the same hotel every fucking year on god knows what location (they are all the same). I detest doing stuff set up just for tourists like waterskiing, the same boat tours all over the world, those pathetic "jeep safaris" those 5 star all-in garbage hotels. For me vacations are going to China, see new things, meet new people, not do the same shit over and over again just on diffrent hotels all over the world.

I went to Hawaii with my wife and kids a few years ago, mother in law and other family as well, that could've turned into a nightmare but it was alot of fun.

This summer I'm looking forward to do some camping out with my kids and just rough it, sleep in a tent, go fishing, hiking and that sort of thing

Although i must admit i pretty enjoyed snowblading in France, my first time in the snow but once you get a hold of it, it fucking rocks.

when i was younger i used to be all about getting dirty wasted... i could booze it up all night and never get hungover... i cant really do that anymore, plus alcohol induced blackouts arent that cool, its not a good time if you cant remember it... i try to keep things in moderation when i go on vacation most of the time, cuz its no fun feelin hungover and crappy half the time you are there

Best vacation I had was Club Med on Paradise Island. Went for 10 days and only spent half a day checking out the town.

Rest of the time was activities in the complex or sponsored by the Club.

My idea of having a great vacation is lying around on the beach all day. I love to swim, snorkle, scuba dive, stuff like that. Beach parties are also great! Getting hot with my honey after all the partying is the best part, of course.

My next vacation is a south to north ski mountaineering tour of the cascade volcano's in late april. Hoping to climb and ski descend from the the summits of Shasta, Baker, Lassen, Adams and a couple of others. I would like to do Ranier also, but its so crevassed that a non-stop, unroped ski descent from the top is impossible.

I would like to try paragliding a peak, but those things make me nervous.

Cancun was definetly the most action packed holiday I've had but I still feel as chilled out as a do when I don't do anything but lie on the beach. It's just such a wondeful place to visit and I'm glad we done all the activites we did like, jet ski's, snokelling, quad bikes and swimming with dolphis, plus all the night time activites, sunset cruise, beach party, etc.

I can't wait to go back now!
