    A company called Lacie has officially unveiled a one terabyte hard drive. The 5.25" drive, which should become available in February, will sell for about US$1,200.

                          It would be great for video.

                          I find 1 hour = 15 or so GB. Not sure at this rate how many films you could store on a disc like this.

                          At $1,199.00 (about £600) it could be cost effective.

                          1 terabyte = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. Once formatted, the actual available storage capacity varies depending on operating environment.
