So how many pages should a tour be to get someone interested in a site and are free trials an admission that the tour is not good enough to sell the membership at the full price?

I''ve been looking around at a few tours and some of the most successful sites have very simple tours, Karups, Alsscan for instance and cookie cutter tours seem very old hat.
