I've got an SUV that is so big I pull a 200 gallon gas tank around just to make it around the block...

I love my Denali... I can get it down to 8 MPG If I drive fast enough!

In fact, most of the time when I fill up I just let the gas spray around on the ground.. As long as we have weapons we can just get more!!! woohoo!!

Israel does not want peace with the Palestinians. Peace means that Palestine will become an independent country. Being an independent country means, economic aid, treaties with other countries, allies, buying weapons of war and building an Army (which they are currently without) buying or producing weapons of mass destruction.

Israel will never allow this to happen, even though our current President has already stated that the Palestinians should be allowed to have an independent country.

The offer may not have been perfect, may not have given them everything they wanted but it was a start and thousands of ppl would still be alive now if they had accepted it..

They already have an army - last I heard they had something like 80,000 'police' all armed with kalashnikovs and other weapons obviously essential for 'police work'!

As for weapons of mass destruction - no israel will never allow this, same as the US will never allow Iraq to have them for obvious reasons..

Being offered autonomy ("independent state") is far different then being allowed to be an independent country. The current government in Israel will never allow the Palestinians to become an independent country.

Eighty-thousand people armed with small arms and a handful of mortars an army does not make. Planes, attack helicopters, missiles, tanks, artillery, and the ability to train, are some of the things that constitute an Army.

The economic aid they receive is practically nill, compared to the aid an independent country would receive from those that would be willing to supply it.
