1:10,000 sounds bad to a lot of people who arent used to tgps...but getting traffic flowing through tgps is pretty easy, so its not as bad as it sounds. not to mention bandwidth bills are minimal.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR.
Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
Personally, it is not something that you can predict. It depends on the traffic, your particular gallery that day, how many other galleries are comparable to yours that day, and which surfers happen to be online at that time, and how much money if any they have to spend.
I have had galleries on TheHuns overflow, getting 20 hits in a day and have made a sale, on more than on occasion. I have been on other TGP's, got thousands of hits, and not one sale. You can make the best of plans but in this business you can't control everything and luck has a lot to do with it.
k, maybe the next question would be what CTR do you get to your sponsor?
CTR isnt important to me its total traffic that equals sales you can change CTR so easyerly with what you put in the text all that really matters is sales. I mean yes I can convert at 100 to 1 by adding some text frazes but if it takes 20k of tgp to make that sale then that sucks I rather convert at 500 to 1 and get a sale per 10k of tgp traffic.

Your logic makes sense but you're making it pretty difficult to measure that way I think.

I think it's much more simple to measure sale by traffic than by clicks, because conversion ratios and click throughs are meaningless in isolation. I use it for SE and mail traffic too - although I work it out as $/K uniques, because there are lots of different sources of revenue in the marketing mix.

That's true. But why not measure traffic, clicks get the CTR and sale, and get a CPC and a CPM for the traffic too?
I would track it all.
10,000 impressions. 200 clicks. 1 sale @ $25 pps.
Track it all

Everything you say is right so far as it goes, but in reality you are listing some of the factors that along with others generate the overall sales per gallery views that this thread is about.
Sales patterns are never consistent as in yes, no, yes, no for very long and they will frequently cluster: a couple of sales close together, long runs without sales. So when you are working with ratios of 1:6,000 and up, total daily stats are not going to be very consistent. Results for individual TGPs are completely meaningless except over considerably longer periods.
1:10K is what I expect out of sites that I will promote. Click thru ratios are anywhere from 3% to 8% depending on text, etc. So you're talking 300 to 800 clicks to the sponsor. My best sites are less than 1:300 on clicks to the sponsor. Most are in the 1:4-500 range. i usually drop any sites that go worse than 1:800 over more than 10k clicks because I can do better.
