My first reaction when reading the article was "BS".

But when thinking about it actually doesn't sound totally impossible.

US has them. The administration needs to hold down their casullties or joe doe will massivly turn against the war. If gas can help, why not? Wouldn't be the first time US broke "international law".. (if there's something like that on using gas).

While I still dont think US would risc the possible progagandahit it would mean using gas and it comming out to the public, maybe they still thought it was the best choice. Maybe time will tell. My bet now is that the article is BS.

In either case, both sides use massive propaganda and full/half lies for their cause. And war sucks.

Exactly. And that was my point of starting this discussion. There is truth in both sides and there are massive distortions. If you don't evaluate all sides the truth is not out there... for you.

I don't think we've put an actual timetable on it yet, but I'd say 1,000...maybe 2,000 years. Give or take. That's just for the second part though. As far as the first part, I don't want my eyes to be shot ever. Fucking hurts.

Let's back up here a moment.

Did the US nuke Japan? We sure did. However, there was no such thing as WMD back then. At the time the US had just built what it considered a "bigger bomb".

At the time warfare was very different. There were no "smart weapons" and when cities got bombed the entire cities got bombed. Firebombing one city in Japan (and Germany) did much more damage than the two nukes.
