Y'know smokey. There are so many things going on in the work day for Lens that I'm sure things slip past him...alot. And it seems that you have not much else to do than find ways to fuck with things. Additionally, you find ways to fuck with people...which I'm sure amuses you, but the rest of the people here would rather spend their time debating on whether or not they'd, "Hit it.". Take it from a person with an outside perspective, you all need to lighten up, leave eachother be, and get to work...seriously, not only do I hate listening to people bitch and moan about what happened to them on gfy...I think its rather sad. This board has run for years with not many security attacks, until you...and though you do it in the name of protecting us, it gets old. No offense intended...I think you a good guy smokey...I just think there's a better way to approach the whole thing. As far as the banning, I'd say its the same reason your other nicks where banned. Y'know man...I come up with amazing ideas all the time...things that need to be put into action.
Things that I don't always have the technical know how to accomplish.
See where I'm going with this???? Neither do I. I think security is a good thing, and complacency is asking for trouble. But overtly proclaiming each flaw is bad...the marquee tag will be banned soon...I have it in my notes somewhere. And feel free to email me anything else you think is a good idea.
If you want I have an orbital grinder, that sandpaper may not cut it...I just ask, in the nicest most respectful manner...that you stop poking at the monkeys in the cages. They can't help their lack of .... of....of anything remotely close to intelligence...common sense...whatever. But they will throw poo when antagonized.
And man...I'll tell you...on the level. I got poop in my eyes, ears, my hair...my clothes stink from it...I taste it when I sneeze man.
And ANYTHING you can do to help cut down on the amount of feces flying through the air around here will be greatly appreciated...on a personal level. I dont post one just so you can patch it and i can claim im smarter thnan you because i know fo more.. i have sent lensman details on the exact even handlers ( and other things that need to be fixed ) Alot of this crap takes alot of trial and error , but shoudn't be hard to fix ( were talking hours here not days )
There are event handlers on other things besides marquee's that are open, there are more event handlers than the ones used also.
Additionally all the old patches are almost useless because of the way html is read ( i dont want to go into details but pay close attention to SPACES and how they are interpreted in html) .
GFY is very popular for webmasters , and i have been contacted by many to fix thier boards as well, so if i just email the problems to the mods nobody is aware of the problems..
I used to post security flaws the proper way , but i was getting alot of flack and questions about the exploits ( and some curious eyes )
The latest ones i have ( posted here ) tried my best to make as unannoying as possible , without letting to much out.
