    Who owns any bulletproof gear?

I was thinking of buying a vest or bulletproof t-shirt. Anyone here own any or got a place to pick up a hot deal?

Hahahaha if you knew me you wouldn't even have to ask. Just know that bulletproof gear would be handy for me to own.

my friend buys bulletproof stuff, i never had any need for it though. why do you need it?

he buys the top of the line shit from some kind of crooked fbi agent that steals it from work or something like that, i forget exactly, but its not cheap thats for sure.

Yeah for a basic kevlar vest i'm looking at around $600, wondered if anyone owns any that they like and if there's a good deal to be found through LE sources.

Yeah but if I'm right that's not a light unit exactly. I'm looking to get something light and concealable to wear under clothing that doesn't stand out if you know what I mean. What you've got is good stuff, just won't hide well for me.

Well the lighter the less they protect.

Depends on what ya wanna be protected from..

And its not that bad realy...ofcourse if ya just gonna use a tshirt it wont hide but under a jacket it wont been seen.

Todays bullet proof wests are really not like in the old days...I remember back in time when the only thing that protected ya was the fucking huge metal plate over the chest

And around that was layers of plastic formula to protect ya from knifes...only problem was if ya where bending forward a little the fucker almost took ya head off LOL!

Today they are all kevlar styles and they are really not that heavy.

Yeah I think I probably need something light, concealable and protect up to about 9mm since that's most likely what you come up against in the streets. Although I'm looking through to see what i should consider out of all of them.

Well I must say it´s sad to hear you would need to wear one but if ya wanna start looking around...

                        http://www.bodyarmour.com/

Might be a good place to start.

But if we are talking about 9mm you wont need a heavy plate in the west I think.....

I think the cevlar alone would take care of that...but then again im not sure.

The plate put some heavy weight into the west but it´s also good if someone tryin to punch ya in the chest

Had a few people who broken their wrists on my plate lol!
