Ugh!! Any Cures For A Sticky Keyboard?

No, it's not from masturbating. I wash my hands when I'm finished.

I spilled a drink on my keyboard and now my delete and arrow keys are sticking. It's driving me insane!!

Any way to un-stick the damn things?

You are better off buying a new keyboard. Otherwise, you have to disassemble the entire keyboard and clean the pads underneath and each key seperately.

yeah... you can pop off each key and wipe the little rubber sections with a qtip or dry cloth. Tedious, but it works.

I'm trying to find someone that can fix my laptop that my hubby spilled Dr. Pepper into... It just won't come on now.

Very easy..get fantastic and spray it down..get a paint brush and wipe the keys and in between..It would be ideal if you had access to air to blow the shit away..Have done it hundreds of times and the keyboard comes out like new

I do have canned air that I use to keep it clean and I blew out the Sprite that was in there after I spilled it. Guess it didn't help. lol

I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy another keyboard. I've grown rather attached to this one. I don't really feel like popping the keys off, though.

I don't have Fantastic. Will a glass cleaner work instead? lol

If you don't want to buy a new one... Pop out the buttons with a nail cliper finner, dump them in soap water, wash dry and pop them back in.

Hey, that worked pretty good, thanks. I have a pair on my desk so I just popped one off. I didn't know they come off that easy.

Only problem is it went flying through the air and now I can't find it. lol

Make sure you map your keys or else you will forget where they go...actually I never popped off the keys..I just sprayed Fantastic or I'm sure windex would work also.But you need air to blow the crap away..I paid 50 bucks for my keyboard ..sure there is cheaper ones but I like this one..

take the back off and run the pad under hot water. then run hot watter over the keys from underneath

I have put them in the dishwasher before and they come out great

I'm cured! That sure was simple. Thanks, everyone.

I used Vitasoy's tip for popping off the keys and then just cleaned them off with some glass wipes. Worked like a charm. I even put them all back in the right places. I'm impressed with myself. lol

And now that I know how easy it is to pop off keyboard keys, I can't wait til April Fools Day. I'm gonna have a little fun.
